Most Christians have thought of the 7th Day Sabbath as a Jewish thing, but it was actually given to mankind as a gift from our loving Father at creation. He rested, or ceased, from all His work of creation and set aside that day for us as a gift from Himself. He told us in Commandment #4, through Moses, to remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy - special, not like other days. So at Killeen First Assembly we offer a time to gather on Saturday at 10 AM for an informal bible study and open discussion. We close out at noon with a time of a fellowship lunch, More than just a command we must obey, Sabbath fellowship reminds us of Creation and the promised return of our God and King when we will truly enter into His Sabbath Rest.
